<description>Oh, yes! I spent 41+ years as a mental health professional and part-time writer, retiring from my m.h. practice at age 73 at the end of 2007. My wife and I then moved from our home in Seattle to Sapporo, Japan, where we now live.

Am I retired? Not on your life! I'm a full-time writer (finally!), I've published two books, several poems, a short story, an interview and have an article coming out next month in a literary magazine in the UK.

15 years in the m.h. field were spent in the geriatric field, where I encountered hundreds of talented poets, portraitists, wood carvers, sculptors, photographers, and landscape artists, not to mention accountants, master gardeners and people with other talents. Retire? None of them had, and neither have I. There is just too much to do to bother. My biggest challenge is pacing myself so I maintain my enthusiasm and stamina in an older body.

Keep up the good work with your blog and on your website.

Warmest regards
